This web site simply exists to share information about me, Matthew Moore, a "Mild-Mannered Web Technologist".
In addition, this website is an ongoing, cumulative, and experimental project of mine that serves as a web design and development platform while also showcasing my experience as a web professional.
Since the dawn of the Internet, and just after my high school career, I've been involved with the web in some form or fashion. In fact, I was smart enough to start "poking my nose" into this whole Internet thing long before the practice had any "real" coding standards. And might I say, "I remember the browser-war nightmares," in fact I'm still having those same nightmares -- I wonder if I can't get disability compensation for the psychological effects it's had on me?
Anyway, though I've never dedicated myself to one specific web related concept such as Front-end Graphic Design, Flash Design, GUI Layout, Database Programming, Backbend Programming (i.e., JSP, ASP, or PHP), Project Management, or the many other areas that go into a website -- over the past 10+ years I've had the opportunity to work through a variety of Internet related and not so Internet related jobs, from Desktop Support to Systems Administration, from Integration Engineer to B2B Web Designer, from SGML Coder to Interface Designer, from Sales Consultant to Web Designer/Programmer. As a result of these "many-hats" I've become a "Well Rounded Web Enabled Inept Mild-Mannered Web Technologist," which is to say I'm not exactly an Engineer/Programmer nor a Designer, but I'm not exactly not them either if you know what I mean.
As of now, I enjoy hard-core coding in web standard compliant XHTML/CSS script based pages, which is my specialty, and programming back-end solutions using PHP/MySQL technologies, with some occasional help from my more "geek-headed" and "artsy" friends, co-workers, and associates.
So now that you are here, please be my guest and take a look around but be sure to get in touch with me, especially to let me know what you think of this site, if you have questions, or even if you just want to say "hello".
Nothing to report at this time.
\Brew"er*y\, n.:
A brewhouse; the building and apparatus where brewing is carried on (a.k.a, my noggin, my noodle, my brain).
Brew #1:
I'm currently working on developing some php/mysql tools to make my personal site more useful. Once I've completed these tools, I will then begin to use them for future web projects. For example, you'll notice that this site has a menu item "Client Login" under "The Professional" section -- once in place, this will be easy to implement into client sites that require authenticated logins.
Brew #2 (Finished):
I still need to fix some CSS bugs within this site especially for Opera and the retarded browser Internet Explorer -- which just can't seem to interpret CSS standards; if only everybody would start using Firefox or Mozilla.
Brew #3:
I need to create an icon for this site -- the kind you see when you bookmark the page (a.k.a. the "favicon").
