Welcome To My "About Me" Page
I know, who wants to read another self-promoting vanity page. But what can I say, people what to know about other people and this page is my attempt to satisfying that desire for those that want to know more about me.
In addition it's a page that allows me to do some self exploration into my personality, the totality of my qualities and traits, my character, my habits, my desires and anything else I can find.
This page will be the spot where I can gather the collective character, behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental traits of what make me me.
So grab a drink of your choice and enjoy getting to know me.
General information...
My name, if you haven't already discovered, is Matthew Todd Moore. I was born in Kremmling (more info on Kremmling), Colorado, USA on June 9th, 1975 to the parents of Ricky Lynn Moore and Darlene Susan (Coxey) Moore.
As of late, I'm about 5' 11" tall and 155 pounds with blue eyes and dirty blonde hair.
I grew up and spent most of my childhood days in Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. While here in Littleton, I attended the Littleton's Public School system of which consisted of North Elementary School (Closed), Goddard Middle School, Heritage High School, and some college classes at Arapahoe Community College.
I've also have taken some college courses at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs and some online courses through Strayer University via the Internet.
Sometime in between my college career I met my wife to be while waiting tables at a local family pizza and beer sports bar. Overall we dated for about three and half years before we decided to get married. During our dating period I continued to attend college and work part and full time doing various jobs; from waiting tables to office administration at a real estate office to technical support at an ISP to an Integration Engineer at MapQuest.
Then on May 20, 2000, I was married to my wife Lisa Dorothi (pronounced Door-th-ee-a) (Ricketts) Moore. We moved into to an apartment in south west Denver while we decided to have a home built for us in Thornton.
Shortly after moving into our new home in Thornton I started a new job as an GUI Engineer for Ascential Software (now owned by IBM).
Soon after that we had are first child, Sarah in April of 2002. Then 17 months later we had our second child, Ethan, born in September of 2003. Lastly we've just had our third child, Isabelle who was born in March of 2006. That may seem like a lot and don't get me wrong it's a busy household but we love it and it's not as bad as you would think. In fact, we are planning on having a fourth sometime in the next few years and maybe even consider adopting one or two after that.
Anyway, because we have three children under the age of four right now my wife is a full-time stay-at-home homemaker, and thank God because it's been very rewarding for all of us.
As for me, I currently work as a "Do Anything and Everything That is IT" IT Manager for Academic Impressions, a small company that offers professional training for the Higher Education Industry, and it's sister company EUCI, another small company that offers the same kind of training but to the Power and Utilities Industry, via conferences and web conferences.
My professional life...
In a professional setting, I like to describe myself fitting into four different "hats", one for Desktop Support, one for Database Administration, one for Network Administration, and my favorite one which is Web Site Producer (for those that are not familiar with this title, it's a combination of Web Designer and a Web Developer) with most of my "web knowledge" on the development side in such technological areas as MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS and SGML.
In the past I have used Sun Soloris Unix, Redhat and Suse Linux, Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, and XP, however my current and favorite OS is the Apple's Mac OS (OS X), mainly because I can run BSD Unix via a shell in the background, Mac OS X in the foreground for all my day-to-day needs, and I can also run Microsoft Virtual PC with a "full-blown" Microsoft Windows XP Pro OS for when I have to resort to Microsoft "stuff".
My siblings...
I have a younger brother by the name of Brian David Moore, whom was born on December 4th, 1979 and a younger sister, Julie Marie Moore, whom was born on October 5th, 1983.
In addition, when my mother remarried in 1991 to Dale McDonald, I gained a step-brother, Jason McDonald, whom was born on July 21, 1976 and a step-sister, Jill (McDonald) Sauer, whom was born on February 6, 1973.
